Nowadays, as the fast development of communication, computer science and network, the require of data acquisition in industry, life and scientific research becomes more and more. Meanwhile, the wireless data transmission technology is paid more extensive regards and applications. The reason is that the traditional data transimission technology by wired can't meet the requirement of applications under some special conditions or in some special industries, such as highly corrosive condition, dispersive measure nodes or requiring controlling the whole system in real time. But the wireless transimission technology is more advanced and is not astricted by the wires, which can adapt the more and more complicated conditions and users' requirements. Therefore, the researches on wireless remote data acquisition system become more urgent and significative.M2M technology is an aggregate of all the technologies which can enhance the capacity of data transmission and communication between the machines and devices. It is a brand-new concept which gives the effective solutions to the communications among men, mobile devices or machines. M2M technology has plenty of advantages, such as needless of manual operation, data upload automatically, effective information process, concentrative data and information process and storage, capacity of query and control in real time, needless of wires and so on.In this paper, a solution of remote data acquisition system based on M2M technology is described. The whole system is made up of two major parts: the embedded data acquisition terminals and the application server. The data is transmitted by GPRS network between the terminals and the server. The data acquisition terminal is based on MSP430F149 MCU, which makes it small, cost-lowliness and low consumption. The terminal uses the GPRS module to transmit the acquired data to an appropriative application and management server by GPRS network, and the server stores and manages the datas uniformly to assure them safety. The software of the server is based on B/S mode which can used by the users through WEB browser or cellphone's USSD function anywhere and anytime.The advance of the remote data acquisition system is that it can gather the datas dispersedly and manage them uniformly. It has the characteristics that it is real time and its terminals are small and low consumption. Moreover, the system can gather different kinds of datas just by replacing the terminals' sensors and the relative software. The whole system is able to used in different kinds of fields such as industry control, intelligent life and science and so on. It has extensive application foreground and commercial value.
