Proprietary Information Query System Based On USSD

With the quick development of wireless communication network recently, it becomes an inevitable trend to use both wireless communication network and existed Internet resource to develop the proprietary information query service. The USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) service based on the above background effectively realizes the combination of wireless communication network and Internet and also makes the mobile customers conveniently utilize kinds of resources of Internet with their mobile phones.Comparing transversely on some familiar modes of communication in wireless communication fields, such as SMS (Short Message Service), WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) and USSD, it is concluded that USSD takes a great advantage on both system maintenance cost and terminal support. An analysis about USSD service's application type as well as market benefit is also taken. So it is decided to implement a proprietary information query system with USSD service of China Mobile.First of all, the paper has a general introduction on USSD. It presents the structure of each module and every function carried out on USSD platform. More, the communication between USSD platform and GSM network, as well as how the SMPP (Short Message Peer to Peer) protocol is applied in USSD is discussed. In this chapter, the solve project about implement of system service logic is brought out, including related network design of USSD application system. From two different aspects, one is USSD application system internal oriented and the other is USSD user oriented, it detailedly presents the service flow of the labor security information query system based on USSD.Following the idea of Object-Oriented Analysis and module design, it expounds the process of carrying out USSD application server. With the adoption of IBM Websphere developing platform and object-oriented programming language Java, combining the SMPP API, the functions of every module, such as communication module, control module, user module, charge module and database module, is developed and implemented. All modules above are integrated to build the system. In addition, how to use JSP technology to design and implement MIS (Manage Information System) is introduced, which allows manager to have the right of inspection, statistics and management about the deal information of USSD service.A series of tests indicate that the proprietary information query system based on USSD, with the qualities of convenient use and stable work, is fit for the query field of proprietary information based on wireless technology. With the extension of USSD application, mobile service provider could takean advantage of sufficient resource from both wireless communication network and Internet, combining SMS, WAP and USSD, to provide mobile data service for all sorts of customers.
