The remote data acquisition and transmission system has the important significance in industry control field.In our country,in many industry cases,especially for some distributed and no watcher locale,we need to collect data at fixed time to know the locale situation in time.The realization mode of the traditional remote monitor control system always is that we construct and maintain the wire or wireless communication network,like this,not only the investment financing but also the financing for maintenance is expensive.Following with the development of the communication technology,the old remote monitor control system has already dissatisfied the multi-aspect demand increasingly,we need the communication mode of which the cost is cheaper and the communication quality is better.So in this paper we present a remote data acquisition and transmission system based on GPRS,which makes use of the GPRS data transmission and internet access terminals module functions to realize the two-side data transmission between Monitoring Center and Terminals.Relying on the China mobile communication network,the system need not to construct new network,it is easy for latter maintenance and network user migration and increasing,data transmission charges according to the flow,which reduce cost to a large extent;System can use an external power supply and battery in two ways,For no electricity lines and a poor environment,the system can run normally.First the paper presents detailed explanation of GPRS network's system structure and the communication principle and network protocols with the program code and contrast the communication mode,merits,and shortcoming between GPRS and GSM. Then expatiate on the main hardware MC35 and microchip MSP430F149 MCU with peripheral circuit and the monitoring center software and the remote monitoring station software in detail.Eventually,we summarize the problems during the system design and put forward the solution to these problems.This study can be used for water flow monitoring system,can also be used in coal mine gas monitoring,water pollution case detection,remote meter reading,and so on. So it has wide application potential.
