Research On EAM-based Maintenance And Management Of Railway Linear Equipments

With the rapid development of the economy of China, the national demand for rail transport is growing, so is the number of railway equipment, among which the linear rail equipment is the basis of traffic. The maintenance and management of linear rail equipment is very complex because of its continuity and linkage of repair. The stability of the linear equipment of railway enterprises directly impacts the safety of passengers and their property, and the economic efficiency of enterprises. Therefore, how to make sure that the linear equipment operates with no trouble is especially important for railway enterprises. The management of repair, maintenance and inspection of the linear equipment has become the focal point of rail enterprises' asset management.Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), as a systematic platform of enterprise information solutions for asset-intensive enterprises, will perfectly meet special requirements of maintenance and management of the linear railway equipment. EAM is a system that around the enterprise assets from procurement,installation and commissioning, operation and management to transfer the post-retirement life-cycle management process, improves reliability and value of the operation of asset by modern information technology, decreases the cost of maintenance and repair, improves enterprises' management level and the quality of personnel, and strengthens the competitiveness of enterprises.This thesis contains the following parts. Based on the analysis of characteristics of the maintenance and management of railway linear equipment, it discusses how to improve some sub-modules of the EAM system and makes a concrete analysis for function of assets management model and process of work order management model to make it meet the needs of railway enterprise. It also argues that the EAM-based workflow models should be improved and applied in the process of work order management of the linear railway equipment' maintenance and management. Based on the above, and according to the current situation and industry traits of the maintenance and management of the railway linear equipment, this thesis analyzes the system, structure and practical function of the EAM-based maintenance and management of the railway linear equipment, and then suggests that a platform of customers should be established based on features of railway.
