Nowadays, existing line reconstruction design is becoming a more and more heavy task that design units face with, the existing design method cannot meet the demands of practical production, and research about the CAD technology of existing line reconstruction design is still rare in domestic. Thus, research about the CAD technology of existing line reconstruction design is extremely important.Combining with the features of existing line's plane and profile reconstruction design, this paper deeply analysed the existing line design method, developed the plane model and profile model of existing line reconstruction design.The main contents and research results are as follows:(1) Proposed a plane recovery method of existing line based on optimization principle.A curve realignment optimization model, which takes the minimum of sum of squares as objective function and curve radius, gentle curve length as varialbles is built. And realized the automatic optimization calculation of adjusting distance(2) Proposed a "ⅡLine Mode" reconstruction design method. Deeply analysed the calculation principle of design line,parallel reconstruction segment and bypassing reconstruction segment. Proposed a method that designs the line according to the "ⅡLine" design mode and deals with the situation of parallel reconstruction and by passing reconstruction by "ⅡLine" parallel segment and bypassing segment. Thus, the design line's integrity is kept, and the problem of low integrity, low systematicness and tedious design progress for traditional existing line reconstruction design method is solved.(3) Built a piecewise reference linear model. According to the "ⅡLine Mode" reconstruction design method, carefully analysed the reference relation of the plane, and a linear model takes existing line and matrix of reference relation as varialbles is built. Proposed the data structure and implementation method of the model. The solution for various situations of existing line reconstruction is proposed.(4) Researched the method of "three-step cycle" for vertical slope recovery in the existing railway line. And it realizes the changeable point automatic identification and vertical curve fitting through the three steps which are identifying the straight points, intersection for the fitting straight line and regulating the vertical slope of the line by using the principle of least squares and difference quotient method.The implementation of the module for designing the vertical section are proposed according to various situations of existing line reconstruction.(5) Developed the digital system for aided design in the line of railway reconstruction by using the development platform of Visual C++.net2002 and the secondary development technology of ObjectARX. And this module has been success- fully proved correct and practical by projects.
