In recent years, satellite navigation and positioning services are developing rapidly in the world. The Global Positioning System (GPS) has been used widely for providing the precise information such as position, velocity and time etc. However, in some complicated environment such as indoors, forests, cities etc., the satellite signal is decayed severely and the signal level becomes far below the operation range of the general GPS receiver. Usually, the satellite receiver can't capture and track satellite signal indoors, its application area is limited. It is of great significance to perform the indoor navigation and positioning by using special algorithm for capturing and tracking weak GPS signal and developing the high sensitivity receiver.This paper is based on No.863 Program, "High dual mode satellite navigation receiver and chipset technology", analyzed the difference between the framework of high sensitivity satellite receiver and the general satellite receiver and described the importance of designing high speed digital circuit for high sensitivity satellite receiver. The integrity of clock signal and power has also been analyzed. In the early phase of design, the simulation has been done by using SWCAD, the power analysis software of LINEAR Company and ALLEGRO, the PCB analysis software of Cadence Company. The analysis and design of outside functional circuits of FPGA has been completed during the schematic design. The evaluation of power consumption, the design method of power supply transfer circuits, including choice and location of components has also been analyzed and summarized.In design of PCB, the layout of layers, some important signal wiring has also been analyzed. The correctness and practicability of this design method has been verified by PCB testing on oscilloscope and position testing.The traditional design used the method to analyze and define the relevant performance specification of high speed digital circuits in the early design phase, and analyze problem source of signal integrity, then find the best solution and verify it by using the simulation tools. By combining the theory and experience, simulation and verification, the development period of products can be reduced significantly. Some performance of designed products can be forecasted, so the one-time success rate will be improved.The prototype design of high sensitivity receiver has been completed and also approved by the experts group of No.863 Program. The requirement of indoor positioning has been met by testing.
