With the development of TV channel professionalization and competitive games,sports channels have caught the whole sight of TV professions,theory horizon and the audience.CCTV-5 has become the only Chinese Sports Channel to represent China in the world and its program can be watched throughout China.To make a deep analysis of CCTV-5 must be beneficial to the self-improvement and ever-lasting development scientifically.To make full preparation for 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and nurture the enthusiastic Olympic atmosphere,CCTV-5 has made a series of reforms and changes since 2007,such as Olympic ABC,My Olympics,Olympic Cities Tour,Olympic Classics and some other Olympic-related programs,which has created a three-dimensional column construction with the news column as a core,other programs such as deep analysis,game shows,specialized topic and knowledge to know column that follow.This kind of construction not only perform TV columns'role on the TV Channel professionalization, enrich the Olympic programs,but also meet TV audiences'various needs and make a strong impression of CCTV-5 brand.But,the development of Spots Channel just begins,so operation scale, column-making level,brand-construction and market orientation only stay at the early stage.To learn from the developed TV stations and sum up the suggestions and lessons from the CCTV-5 channel reform and Olympic-related columns will be beneficial to the whole channel in the new period called After-Olympics and in the long term.Through the preceding literature analysis,personal interviews with several specialists,context analysis and case study,the author has made lots of research on the Olympic-related columns and CCTV-5 channel.The conclusion has come as follows,series of reforms CCTV-5 has spread the Olympics and Olympic spirit actively and coincides with the TV professionalization.Besides,the Olympic-related and Olympic-named columns have formed a large brand effect,advanced its channel conduct and improve the whole making team.However,compared with other international TV stations or Channels,there are still more improvement in many areas,such as the profit-making,the sense of brand operation, the single TV products and channel package.
