Study On Application Of RSS Technology In Library

RSS is one of the popular techniques of Web2.0. At first, it was used to describe the theme of blog and renew the information. With the rapid development of blog, RSS breaks away from subordinate technique of blog and is widely used in the fields of Press and Publishing, E-commerce, and the Management of Knowledge. It is developing so quickly that it has even influenced the traditional reading habits of the Internet. The thesis centers on the application of the RSS technique in the service of the Internet Information Service of library.The upgrading and reform of the Information technique is one of the most important factors which influence the quality of the Internet Information Service of library. It offers new opportunities and challenges for the development of library. The application of the RSS technique provides new technical instruments for the Internet Information Service of library.This thesis introduces some elementary and advanced examples of the application of RSS technique at home and abroad. Through the general introductions of RSS technique and the Internet Information Service, it illustrates the background, necessity, and the feasibility of RSS technique and summarizes some key links of the application of RSS technique when it is used in the Internet Information Service.
