Studies Of The Editorials On Significant Newsmakes And From City Newspapers

The most important feature of city newspapers is their townspeopleship.Because the papers treat the people as one would treat one's family,they are more suitable to supervise and guide public opinion.News comments,especially editorials,have incomparable superiority in terms of supervision and guidance of public opinion.Consequently how to give full play to their own advantages has profound significance on improvement of news comments in city newspapers.This article,aiming to draw empirical conclusions in the development of city newspapers, analyzes the editorials on significant newsmakers from city newspapers and briefly reviews the development of news comments and city newspapers.The article actually is a case study of Southern City because the paper plays a relatively important role in the city newspapers all over the country,made the earliest and best exploration of news comments and the cases taken from it are worth analyzing.By the qualitative and quantitative analysis of many editorials chosen from Southern City,the article summarizes the following five features of editorial writing:1. "Plebification" and focus on public interests;2.Rational way of thinking;3.Good chances and opportunities to make news comments;4.Spirit of insistence on getting to the bottom of the matter;5.Constructive news comments.
