Application Research Of ARF-Engine In Cooperative Office Platform

Nowadays,workflow technology is one of the fastest growing new technologies in the computer field,and has become a hot topic.Moreover,workflow technology is the core one to implement business process modeling,process management and business process automation.As the most important part of workflow management system, workflow engine is responsible for workflow process execution according to workflow process models,and task assignment by roles to enable high work efficiency.So how to design an effective and stable workflow engine in development of cooperative office platform,which improves development efficiency,has great practical significance.In this paper,based on the definitions and theories of workflow,workflow technology and workflow engine given by Workflow Management Coalition,combined with the practical needs and referred to the concept of active-route,a workflow model is established.At the same time,the dispatch-and-execute mechanism of the model in different migration patterns is determined.The model,using simple elements and flexible mechanism,not only provides all the functions,but also simplifies the design of the workflow engine.Then,on the basis of the workflow model above mentioned,a workflow engine is detailed analyzed and designed on the principles of micro-kernel,lightweight and so on. As the operational container for the model,the workflow engine ensures normal operations of the workflow model.In addition,the workflow engine is designed as a middleware to provide various kinds of interfaces,which make it easy to embed the workflow engine into other application systems.Finally,referred to the practical business needs,the solutions of the cooperative office platform based on the workflow engine are put forward,and the platform is implemented using J2EE technology.At present,the platform has obtained some achievements,such as the full efficient use of overall resources and the high efficiency of common jobs.
