As the special geological factors of the reservoir of Three Gorges, it's the place where landslide hazard happens frequently. Landslide hazard not only destroy the public accommodation, such as water conservancy, electrical power, traffic, communications and so on, but also threaten the life security of people seriously. At the present time, the most efficient method for landslide hazard protection is early warning, handling it according to the outcome of early warning, in order to control the further development. In order to evaluate the landslide rightly, provide with reliable information and scientific basis, establishing the system of landslide stability evaluation is in need. The landslide stability evaluation system of the reservoir of Three Gorges based on GIS is a part of research contents of the landslide monitor alarm conducting system of the reservoir of Three Gorges, the aim is to support quantitative evaluation of stability for alarm conducting system. The application of stability evaluation software will improve the efficiency of hazards prevention of the reservoir.The thesis starts with constructing the stability evaluation system, the system of three-layer structure based on WEB is established. With the technology of GIS space characteristic analysis, superposition analysis method is adopted, combination computes the sectional plane load under complicated working condition, such as lithologic characters, construction, Groundwater level and so on, developing the landslide stability evaluation system based on GIS. The thesis introduces the background, significance, contents and purpose of the research briefly, researching on the key technologies refer to the landslide stability evaluation, according to the practical needs of the system, analyzing the system needs, business process, system data and concept model in detail.Based on the geological exploration needs of the third period geology hazards prevention project for the reservoir of Three Gorges, introducing the overall design principles of landslide stability evaluation system based on GIS, coming out with the overall design structure of the system, analyzing the technology route which should be abided by during the system development process, including the development pattern of GIS platform, visual design, dynamic stability evaluation design and interface design of the computation process and outcome, summarizing the logic structure of B/S three-layer system, analyzing and researching the security of the system.At last, for the implementation of the system, Eclipse is choosing as the development platform, JAVA which developed by SUN company chosen as the development language. The paper mainly introduces the implementation methods of system technology, and then, making the model design as the centre, introducing the implementation of each function model of display and control of section diagram, section choosing, stability evaluation computation, parameter refutations, data maintenance and information search and statistics, at last, the implementation interface is provided.
