Three Gorges Reservoir Area Slope Stability Evaluation System

With the advance and durative development of building of Three Gorge Storeroom, slopes appear because of lots of appearance of railway, bridges, and large scale building. And these slopes can result into tragedy. As a result, reseach and evaluation of stability of slopes is an important task of Three Gorege Project.Stability analysis of slope and evaluation is an important point of research on slopes, and in this processing, there are plenty of data to deal with.GIS has powerful analysis of space and management of data capability. In the paper, how to research on stability of slope with GIS was explored, and according to space information system of slope and the theory of"Multi-layer DEM"model of slope, built up DEM model of slopes. With the above research production, design and develop stability evaluation system of Three Gorge Storeroom. This system can be used to set up space information system of slopes of Three Gorge Storeroom, with the ability of analysing and evaluating slopes. According to requirement analysis of Three Gorge Storeroom Stability Evaluaiton System, analyse and design system structure, work flow of system. Divide system into multi-sub system and design them respectively. Select development platform of development and database of background, realized this system. According to data information of slopes of Three Gorge Storeroom, the experiment of this system showed that it is of nice performance.Give the work of futuren and point out that the finish of the system if of vital importance to the prevention and cure of disaster of Three Gorge Storeroom and the future's management and share of information.
