Based On GIS For The Three Gorges Reservoir Flood Forecast System

Geographical Information System is not only manages the spatial properity of the physical entities in the natured world, but also manages the information about the people etc. With the rapid progress of Distributed Computing Technology, Object-Oriented,Component Technology and the popularity of Internet, GIS has been used in many domain.This paper discussed GIS,software component and calculation mode,in allusion to characteristic of the flood forecast system,I no only brought forward software component technology that based on GIS for flood forecast system, study basic data and spatial data of the organize and visit, But also study based on DEM of the river meshwork how to create and distill character. The research have been applied in the Three gorges reservoir flood forecast system.
