Librarians with high quality are very important to a school's existence and development.But so far as we know,the whole quality of librarian is not optimistic,wide gap exists compared to some developed countries.Simultaneously timeworn concept of teacher management, backwards structure can' t adapt to current of the times.Therefore, it is very important and necessary to reinforce the theoretical research and practical exploration of human resource management in colleges and universities.Have only we widen our train of thought,seek new counter measures,can improve the whole quality of university teachers practically,and realize health development of university library.Career management is a new content of human resource management coming into being from some developed countries these years.It arouses people's attention.It embodies a brand-new idea and model of human resource management and it symbols a new developing direction in the field of human resource management.But in our country,career management is a new study filed,which mainly study employees.It is blazing new trails,to some extent,trying to lead the theory and practice of career management to institutions of higher learning.A basic purpose of the paper is hoping to upgrade the recognition of our scholars and managers.This paper tried to use career management theory by method of combining theory study with practice analysis,from abstract to concrete,theory to practice,combining characteristics of university librarians with present state of management tightly,discuss and analyze the main problems existed in career management of university librarians, then researching into how to make the career management of university librarians better,in order to get common development of university librarians and university organization,realize the mutual beneficialTrying to lead the thought and theory of career management to librarian management in colleges and universities,widens the theoretical field of career management research,simultaneously enriches the field of librarians management,and provides a new concept and method of management for our librarians' management.It also has theoretical and practical significance for bettering human resources, improving the level of librarian management and development,deepening structural reform of colleges and universities.
