MIS (Mobile Identification System) is a new digital navigation system of including network technology, modern communication technology, computer technology and electronic information display technology.This thesis focuses on the software design and research of MIS'communication system. In this thesis, the hardware design of MIS'communication system is based on two embedded platforms. One is the embedded system which uses S3C2410 as microprocessor and ARM-Linux as operating system. On this platform, the TDMA protocol which MIS uses to access the data link layer is completed. The other is the embedded system which uses STC89C58RD+ as microprocessor. The HDLC protocol which MIS adopted for data transmission is fulfilled on it. After debugging and testing of the MIS sample, the communication function of MIS is done.At the beginning of this paper, MIS will be introduced briefly, and then the embedded system based on which to realize the MIS will be discussed. After that, this paper will fully describe the key technology (HDLC, TDMA and GMSK) and the software development environment adopted by the design of MIS'communication system. The software research and development of MIS'communication system will also be focused in the coming chapters. At the end of this paper, the debugging and the problem solving of the software will be discussed. This paper is of some value for further development of the MIS in the future.
