Conventional synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging system is bulky and high energy consumption. So its application platform is restricted. Nowdays, without sacrificing too much performance, to reduce the size and the power of SAR imaging system has become an important developing direction. This paper gives a design scheme and hardware implementation method of a highly-integrated Ultrahigh Speed Data Acquisition, Storage and Processing System. High-speed and high-precision data acquisition involves complex mixed-signal design techniques. This paper mainly introduces several key technologies used in the system design process, including high-speed mixed-signal design, the ADC's front end design and the effect of clock jitter on ADC. SAR imaging system needs a high speed, large capacity and highly reliable storage system. The paper gives a solution of a solid-state data storage module based on Flash Array. The system requires a powerful data processing module and the paper presents a design scheme using multi-FPGA and multi-DSP, which can display their respective advantages. The paper closely follows the latest trends of technology development and proposes the applicaiton of GPGPU in SAR imaging signal prcocessing area. At last the paper introduces the development of the new types of solid-state non-volatile memory and optical ADC.
