As the shortage of thermal analysis means for satellite antenna in our country at present, through the pivotal study of development of thermal analysis platform for satellite antennas, it can significantly enhance the capacity of antenna structure design in theory and application, and speed up development of the level of antenna structure design. In view of this, this paper in-depth study the current domestic and foreign on-board antennas thermal analysis technique, introduce the thermal analysis theoretics for satellite antenna and the main heat transfer mode of spacecraft in the space. With the thermal analysis process for satellite antenna and characteristic of commercial analysis software, the whole frame of thermal analysis software was established. We have finished software development of thermal analysis platform for satellite at the end. In the pivotal study of satellite antenna temperature analysis module, this paper describes the CAD/CAE software secondary development of technology, and research I-DEAS secondary development of technology. We achieve the development of software and external I-DEAS software interoperable technology through three different methods. And I-DEAS software interoperable technology for the realization of I-DEAS secondary development on Windows XP system cleared the obstacles. Finally, we finished software development of satellite antenna temperature analysis module in the Widows XP system.In the pivotal study of satellite antenna thermal distortion analysis module, this paper has introduced detailedly the key technologies of the thermal distortion analysis module and discuss three develop tools APDL, UIDL and UPFS based on ANSYS. The software technical frame for thermal distortion analysis module has been established with APDL language and external development technologies of ANSYS. Finally, the thermal distortion platform for Astro-mesh satellite antenna is developed by C++ Builder.After we finished the allover development of thermal analysis platform for satellite antennas, this paper analyzed antenna thermal distortion in both conditions by thermal analysis platform for satellite antennas. We have elicited the best of the thermal control program though analyzing and comparing the results of thermal distortion for antennas in both conditions.This paper has completed development of temperature analysis module and thermal distortion analysis module for satellite antennas, through pivotal study of development of thermal analysis platform for satellite antennas. It has the practical guide for the design of thermal analysis platform for satellite antennas.
