With the continuously development of computer and simulation technique, the application of Virtual Reality technique in military field is becoming more and more widely. 3D visual environment simulation is an important branch of Virtual Reality, and domestic and international scholars have performed large numbers of research on it, and they have obtained numerous research results. There is an extensive application requirement for it. According to the demand of the evaluation of airfight situation and the airfight simulation manoeuvres, it is very necessary to establish airfight scene simulation system, to reflect the usage of the airfight weapon visually.This paper introduces the method of establishing and drawing airfight environment using OpenGL under VC++ platform, and also introduces the key technologies involved in scene simulation.Nature environment model is established by using the related technologies, including sky model, and the way of realization of sky battlefield weather simulation is studied. This paper has realized the sky model dynamic simulation using the grid model and the texture mapping technology, And has studied the way that realized the air cloud real-time dynamic simulation method using the particle system.This article has researched to the air fight entity modelling and the battlefield live simulation. After having analyzed each 3D full-scale modelling method and the memory way. it has carried on the modelling by the entity model. Air fight's special effect is the air fight ground view simulation important component, this article has studied fight battlefield special effect, for example airplane tail flame and detonation plan methods, and has realized.The display and control of scene simulation play an important role in simulation system. This paper presents one architecture framework of sky scene simulation system after describing the method of realizing display and control of simulation. The functions and relations of each module are introduced, and part of them are implemented.
