Along with the continuously development of computer technique and simulation technique, the application of Virtual Reality technique in military field becomes more and more widely and deeply. 3D visual environment simulation is an important branch of Virtual Reality, and domestic and international scholars have performed large numbers of research on it, and they have obtained numerous research results. There is an extensive application requirement for it. According to the demand of the evaluating of Surface weapon's function and weapon usage research, establishing 3D visual environment simulation system, to reflect the usage of the weapon of surface, is very necessaryIn this paper, it is described that the naval battle visual simulation system's construction frame, and the functions of each part in detail.Along with the development and perfect of HLA simulation technique, HLA has already become the standard of simulation system's development. In order to improve the reusability and interoperability of the system, this system transfers information through HLA.At visual environment simulation system, the display is a very important part. Under VC6.0 environment, author used the OpenGVS to complete display and control. It primarily included:1. The unique mesh model and texture mapping technology are adopted to implement the real-time and dynamic simulation of the wave spectrums in different sea2. After analyzing the formative condition of spray on sea, the sprays are simulated dynamically in real-time using particle system.3. Particle system and image synthesis are adopted to implement the ship's head wave and tail wave.4. Adoption advanced graphic technique, the dissertation realizes some effects of combat, such as explode, firing, smoking, missile dropping into the water etc.5. Build 3D entity models using MultiGen Greater and 3D Studio/Max6. A simulation model of snow and rain is implemented dynamically in real-time using particle system.In the sea fight visual environment simulation system, the selection of entity model and fight model, directly relates to the whole system's reliability. Summarizing successful experiences, the author selects some successful models, and realizes to control fight process.
