As one of the important research topic of computer graphics, natural scenery hasbeen great concern. Real-time rendering in3D online games, television advertising, decorative art and design, art deco design, virtual reality scene many more areas ofapplication, because of its obvious advantages, promote the significance of today’sinformation society development. However, the vast majority of natural features is notstatic, but over time the movement and change, such as the combustion flame, flowing clouds, rivers, lakes, wind, frost, rain and snow to simulate the use ofcommon modeling class scenery hard to describe very accurate simulation of naturalscenery of this research topic is full of fun and challenges. The status quo at home and abroad clouds simulation, careful research andanalysis, and on this basis, the combination of a variety of practical applications anddemand in3D online games, video and virtual scene, the proposed new virtualcloud-based particle system simulation method.Completion of this article have done a lot of work, work and research include thefollowing:First, analyze the movement of clouds, cloud particle motion simulation byrandom irregular movement of particles in the system to achieve, and to improve theflexibility of the cloud particle motion. Secondly, we draw on the particles to beinnovative, there is no point source of particles in a classical particle system, whilethe polygon facet to replace, for effective in reducing the number of particles in theparticle system, and effectively improve the system of real-time an important role. Finally, under the Windows XP system using VC++6.0and OpenGL3D animationenvironment, cloud simulation system based on particle system development, practiceshows that the simulation to obtain a good simulation results.
