Research On Pre-Production Data Preparation For Surface Mounting Machine Oriented To Integration Of Design And Manufacturing

Surface Mounted Technology (SMT) has been widely used in the automaticallymanufacture of Integrated Circuit. As the kernel equipment in SMT product line,surface mounting machine still need a lot of manpower, material resources, and timefrom design-data to produce-data. Pre-production data preparation for surfacemounting machine, which is oriented to the integration of design and manufacturing,has already become a problem which should be researched immediately.The thesis regards the isomorphic transform of the heterogeneous ElectronicDesign Automation (EDA) documents as the key object which should be achieved, andresearches the data preparation deeply, including the manufacturability analysis and therapid data preparation for production. Based on the analysis of traditional preparationflow and the commons between Protel and PowerPCB, the transform interface hasbeen implemented, and it produces two kinds of the isomorphic documents, which areemulate files and component files. Then, the emulate file is used to make the mountingprocess visually, which is called manufacturability analysis. At the time of emulating,the detectable error is recorded, the database is increased adaptively; the componentfile is used to realize the rapid data-preparation, which produces the input data foroff-line programming of the machine, and the keys are eliminating the through-holedevices, sorting the surface mounting devices, renaming the sorts, examining the miss,and other automatic data operations.The system which is researched is compatible, the manufacturability analysis isout of the SMT product line and offers the visual gist for design,s modification, and therapid data preparation makes the time shortened by 70%. The application of the systemwill make the periods of development shortened and the cost reduced.The interface could transform five kinds of EDA documents recently, such asProtel, PowerPCB, Mentor, etc. But there are various kinds of EDA software, in orderto make the system universal, the others should be analyzed and transformed in thefuture. At the same time, some users like to offer the coordinate flies by Excel, so toanalyze and read the Excel files is also the next task.
