Because the radar performance is affected by the radar return signal from the land and sea surface, clutter's modeling and simulation have become an important part in the research of radar systems. Whether the clutter model is accuracy, all-purpose and flexible or not, is a very important criterion accessing the radar signal simulator's performance. Research on modeling and simulation of radar clutter is helpful for the design of radar system, optimizing of algorithm for signal processing and many other aspects.With a view to engineering application, this dissertation has discussed actual radar operating-environment, clutter's amplitude distribution model, frequency spectrum distribution model, the principles and methods of clutter's modeling and simulation in detail from the point of view of theory. Based on all the above, correlated clutter and Coherent correlated clutter of Rayleigh distribution, Lognormal distribution, Weibull distribution and K-distribution are simulated with methods of Zero Memory Nonlinearity Transform and Spherically Invariant Random Process. Finally, we adopted an improved simulation method in the simulation of K-distribution clutter. The result of the simulation indicates that clutter data can satisfy the demand of the characteristic of the amplitude distribution and power spectrum distribution. Also, the simulated result accords with the ideal result. Therefore, the validity of the new method can be proved. Compare with ZMNL and SIRP, this method doesn't refer to the solution of nonlinear equation. So it is of very high speed and convenient to the experiment.
