Evolvable hardware is the hardware circuit which can automatically change its structure. It is based on the ideal of reconfigurable hardware and evolutionary algorithms. It has the features of self-organization self-adaption and self-repairing. It is valuable in aeronautics and astronautics. The concept and principle of the analog evolvable hardware are introduced in this paper, and the on-line evolution and realization methods are discussed. VB is used to realize evolution control process, and Hereboy algorithm is used for circuit evolution. The evolution process is achieved by using VB to call PSpise. The human-computer interaction interface is improved. Amplifier circuit is realized basing on the FPTA2 without feedback resistor and with feedback resistor. Although the time of evolution is longer, the evolution result of FPTA2 with feedback resistor is better, and the value of fitness function grow faster.Basing on the simulation, two kinds of configuration circuits are designed for the FPTA2 without feedback resistor and with feedback resistor basing on single chip microcomputer. The hardware platform is made up of PC(Personal Computer),configuration circuit,FPTA2 cell arrays and data acquisition card. The hardware platform validates the feasibility of technology of analog evolvable hardware based on FPTA2 cell arrays, evolve amplifier circuit, and realize on-line evolution. The results of on-line evolution are consistent with the simulation results. The result shows that the hardware platform can evolve the given function circuit. The two kinds of configuration circuits are feasible, and the evolutionary method of analog evolvable hardware is efficient.
