Evolution-oriented Field Reconfigurable Analog circuit are based on the idea of evolutionary algorithms and reconfigurable hardware. The purpose of research is to develop self-reconfigurable circuits. This kind of circuits has the features of self-adaption and self-repairing. It's valuable in aeronautics and astronautics. The concept and principle of the analog evolvable hardware are explained in this paper. Technology of evolving analog evolvable hardware based on cell arrays are studied. The structure characteristics of traditional FPTA(Field Programmable Transistors Array) evolvable hardware are analyzed, and a new evolution-oriented ARTA(Analog Reconfigurable Transistors Array) circuit scheme is presented. The method to evolve the analog evolvable circuits based on adaptive mutation evolutionary mechanism of single chromosome is put forward. The platform set up by VB realize extrinsic evolution process.50 times amplifier and band-pass filter are successfully evolved by two FPTA2 cells, the method of two-class evolution makes the amplifier more precise. Take nand gate circuit as an objective circuit, the self-repair capacity of single FPTA2 cell is studied preliminarily. ARTA cells are used to evolve the mathematical function and 4-bit DAC circuit efficiently, the results show that ARTA cell has a good evolving ability and can be used in the automated synthesis of analog circuit.
