With the development of information and control technology, embedded system plays more and more important part in the field of industry control. Meanwhile, rapid improvement of Ethernet technology and modern management level makes the combination between embedded system and Ethernet to realize corporation integration of management and control network become a main developing trend.The paper primarily studies how to develop distributed database network node in the environment of ARM and embedded Linux, including two parts: hardware and software and the latter is research emphasis of the paper. ARM microprocessor is used as hardware kernel of network node, embedded Linux as operating system, Berkeley DB engine as development flat of database, to build distributed network database and management system so as to realize functions of network data receive/send, high-speed refresh, trouble recovery and so on. Building network data monitoring flat is to combine network technology, industry control and information management.The paper exerts studies from next several parts:(1) Briefly introduces the background and meanings of the topic, offers study contents and expected goals of the paper.(2) To the requirements of network node, choose embedded microprocessor and operating system, use S3C2410 as kernel of hardware processor in which involves ARM9 kernel of Samsung Company, select open-source embedded Linux as embedded operating system.(3) Designs hardware schematic diagram of the network node, realizes hardware design from two parts: kernel part and application part. Kernel module adopts the form of SODIMM-200 which brings flexibility and universality to it.(4) Build network database in the environment of ARM and embedded Linux based on software pack of embedded database Berkeley DB, which has the remarkable characteristics of low EMS memory occupancy, high-speed storing, safe and reliable data and so on.(5) To build embedded Linux development flat, as the basis of application development, the development of embedded application adopted the mode of targetboard and host, running Red Hat 9.0 on host.(6) Completing application software, which includes writing serial interface 232,485serial communication protocol and network communication protocol to realize free-program application, network node data storing, managing, broadcasting, receiving, dynamic refreshing, trouble recovery and so on.Research of the thesis bases on open-resource embedded Linux operation system and embedded database development flat, is distributed network database management system with self. Development of the thesis realize rapid storage of network data, dynamic refreshing, trouble recovery, meanwhile, ensure the coherence of whole network data, decrease the requirement of system to network and special data server, simplify the construction of industry control network system, and provide real-time data for information management system, realize real integration of management and control.The last part of the paper concludes the thesis, proposes achievements and shortages and offers approving suggestions according to researching process. It also points out the emphasis of next step to the study and displays the promising development.
