| Wireless sensor network is a special Adhoc network; it has the rapid deployment, self-organization and fault tolerance characteristics. Recent advances in wireless communication, integrated circuit, sensor and micro-electronics have enabled the development of wireless sensor network. Wireless sensor network is becoming hot both in the domestic and international research of wireless network.The thesis first introduces related work and background of wireless sensor network, and then proposes a low-power design of wireless sensor network node. This design uses MSP430F149 SCM in micro-control cell, IA4420 in wireless transmission cell and Lithium-ion rechargeable battery in power supply cell. Users could choose chips agilely according to the application environment in detection cell. Medium access control (MAC) protocol is one of the key protocols which guarantee wireless sensor network to communicate efficiently. The capabilities of wireless sensor network such as throughput, delay and so on are all lie on the MAC protocol. Integration Co. proposes the frame of EZMac protocol which aims at IA4420. EZMac protocol is a MAC protocol of wireless sensor network which based on C language. Based on the analysis and research of the main MAC protocols in wireless sensor network, the thesis consummates and supplements the EZMac protocol. In order to blocking the functions so that the design and the use can be more convenient, the thesis proposes the EZMac's function entity and SAP. The thesis also defines the API function and the three interfaces between MAC layer and network layer to implement the transparent data transmission between MAC layer and network layer. Besides, the thesis analyzes the delay characteristic of EZMac and implements the EZMac basic function through programming the status transfer function. |
