UCard (Universal Card) is one type of Multi-Chip operating system smart card, It overcomes the weaknesses of secrecy and security that exist in the model of multi-application smart card. Its basic idea is to contain several COSes (Chip Operating System) in one card, with new hardware and software technology. Each COS is independent and responsible for its own applications. This approach avoids the mutual influence between one application and another.Three improvements were made to the original Ucard system in this Non-Contact Multi-Chip Operating System Smart Card (Non-Contact UCard system). The new system uses a double 8-bit processor structure. The memory is made up of 8 parallel COS memories, and also it could be accessed by the coprocessor directly. After the coprocessor giving out the enable signal of the COS memories, the memories space would be locked by the Dynamic Addresses Controller. There is no addressmapping when the main-processor is visiting the programme space. The directly access, causes the main-processor hardware environment to be consistent with the ordinary smart card processor hardware environment, have made the mainprocessor no need to runnning a lower software comparing to the intelligent card operating system (COS) ,that has guaranteed the COS security. This Non-Contact UCard system can communicate with UCard Reader using the carrier wave operating in 433MHz.Using software mode, designed and implementation the communication protocol between UCard and UCard Reader which complied with the ISO 18000-7.
