Higher requirements have been put forward for porcelain insulator's ultrasonic flaw detector in new standards.The detectors that many companys developed based on SCM technology,had simple functions,limited testing accuracy,and low level of intelligence.The main design thinkings of "New Type of porcelain insulators ultrasonic flaw detector" are the uses of SoC technology to achieve user-friendly graphical interface,controls NC signal source to achieve multi-point scanning in the scope of mandated test signals,automatical tests speciality parameters,as well as saves and processes several parameters of products.It has been achieved the test data acquisition,display,storage and intelligent data processing.Through the embedded system development platform which is built based on the ARM nuclear embedded processor SEP3203 researched and developed by Southeast University independently,the paper analyzes ASIX OS embedded operating system with some of the real-time,and has completed application framework design on the basis the kernel of ASIX OS.Aiming at target board based on the SEP3203 processors,ASIX OS successfully transplanted to the target board, the system can be used to control NC signal source,to measure the parameters of porcelain insulators ultrasonic flaw detector,to store the measurement results in the flash specified text file.Meanwhile,in order to be convenient for the manufacturers and power supply system to manage a large number of test data,"Flaw Detector Information Management System" using VB.net technology has been developed. Through the USB communication interface,the system processes the contents in the detector measurement result files and transferrs to PC database.The system can also be used for sorts and statistics,querying on-demand,generating report forms according to the work needs.
