| Embedded system, i. e., embedded computer system is one of the hotest issues in current IT-related profession. Actually embedded systems are some dedicated computer systems that point to certain concrete applications, routers, ethernet swichers, mobile telephones, PDA' s, palm computers, and even Mars probers are all its typical application. It' s hardware core and software kernel are embedded micro processor and embedded operating system respectively. It' s very important to develop embedded system hardware and software platform with independent intellectual property via following foreign advanced technology for it will improve our domestic developing and applying ability in embedded system field.Embedded intelligent instrument systems are some measuring and controlling instrument systems which are designed according to the embedded system design principle, and the basic embedded instrument system discussed in this paper is a platform that we developed as a kernel part of embedded instrument systems, esp. portable instruments and networking instruments. The platform uses Motorola' s MC68EZ328 as its MPU, the peripheral circuit includes network interface, serial interface, LCD display, keyboard, etc. and its embedded operating system is uClinux, thus it has ability of network communication and interactive function between the user and the platform, and it can be extended easily to portable instruments or networking instruments with certain purpose.Now we have already made and debugged the platform, which established the hardware and software foundation for embedded intelligent instruments and provided a tool to design and debug them. The main embodiments are: 1) bring forward the hardware design technology route for embedded intelligent instruments; 2) researched the run mechanism of the software of embedded intelligent instruments; 3) founded the develop and debug platform for embedded intelligent instruments. Next step we' 11 develop a kind of portable color measuring instrument and an educational platform with it. |
