During the teaching process for experiment ,helping the learner improve their operation skill is an important part .Now the methods for evaluation are mostly kinds of examinations ,the exam just gives us the result ,it can't exactly tell us the student's degree of skill ,as the result the teachers couldn't hold the learner's status of skill .Therefore ,how to evaluate the learner's experimental operation skill ,it's a big problem .The melioration for experiment teaching is hard, especially in the field such as foundational experiment and technical experiment .Now because the students'number is much more than the teachers',it's unsuitable to use personality education .In order to solute this problem ,we use network technology and flash software to design an automatic system for evaluating the learner's experiment skill online ,and the teachers are never to oversee the students doing their experiment examination ,but they will know the process how the students do the experiment and the result which comes from the auto-assessment system.For the sake of solution above problem, I design the photoemission experiment as a instance .It will do favor for teachers and learners .There is much excellence ,for example the student can logon in the system to do the experiment online anytime ,and the evaluation for the student comes from the computer ,it will be external and it's different from the tradition examination ,choosing choices and filling in the blanks will be instead by connecting the line and dragging the object ,it's much more interesting than ever and it's so closed to the real experiment situation. The structure for the thesis as below:The first part contains four topics :what's the problem ,why we put forward this thesis ,how this thesis is going on and how to do this thesis .After researching in physic experiment center of Jilin University ,we find that evaluation method for experiment skills are mostly checking the experiment report ,but the report is result of the experiment which students deal with .By reading it ,teachers couldn't value and understand the students'experiment skills well and truly. It's not suitable to use the examination mode that teachers monitor student examining one by one, nowadays .It will waste teachers'time and the equipment of lab are not enough to do it like that. Hence ,we try to find a new way to monitor and value students'experiment operation skills .There are two advantages ,convenient network and the production on Virtual Simulation Laboratory of Physics which we have got .After one year working , I have designed and developed this system: Auto-Assessment System about the Experiment-Operation-Skill for Physics .It contains two part: Simulation experiment and examination system ,when the students logon in the system to have an exam ,the system will record the process and the result of the examination into the database and give the students feedback on-line. The system can help teachers value students'experimental operation skill, nay it does well in helping students preparation and review of experiments.The second part is the detail how the thesis is going on in and abroad, I will describe it for you in different formats and points of view .Generally speaking ,the experiment operation skills are the skill to perform the experiment ,for example ,putting the equipment to a suitable place , connecting the equipment with the line based on the circuit diagram , tuning up the equipment and reading the data .There are some productions in this field on Computer Assisted Assessment ,but it's exiguity in the physics field. I have collected and coordinated the productions which I can get. After summing–up of these materials at home and abroad, I will describe them in two facets and six points .in the end ,I will show you some advantages of CAA on physics, It is valuable for research for further.The third part is mostly about how to design and develop the system .It includes requirement analysis ,system structure and the database design .In order to integrating the emulation experiment and examination system online ,firstly we separate the photoemission experiment into three parts :putting the equipment to suitable place ,connecting the equipment with the line as circuit diagram ,adjusting the button of the equipment and reading the data. I embed these experiments into the examination system ,and record the process and result data into database ,when teachers want to know how a student going on with the physical experiment , the system will get the data and bring it forth to the teacher .Every experiment can be done many times by the student , and the system will record the student's process info every time. The teacher will value the student's experiment operation skills by the info which we got from the auto-assessment system.The fourth part ,it's an important one ,firstly I will tell you something about tools for program development ,then give you some advice for how to build an experiment lib ,at last I execute performance testing for the system ,and diagnoses the situation that students take advantage of the system .In order to improve the system ,I design a paper to collect the user's feedback .After analyzing the testing report , we know that the system can run well in test environment ,but if we decide to run the system online, it should be tested severely. After reading users'feedback of questionnaire, most of informants consider that it's a good explore for experimental operation skill in physic and the system can evaluate their experimental operation skill.The last part is a sum-up and something about thought for research in future.
