The Research And Application On Methods Of The Software Requirements Management And Requirements Development Under The Direction Of CMMI

Requirement Engineering has become an important part of Software Engineering. As growing awareness of its importance, the research in theory and methodology has become a hotspot and has broad prospects for development. Requirements Management and Requirements Development constitute the main elements of Requirement Engineering and are also two process areas related directly to requirement in CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) which has been regarded internationally as a general measure standard of the ability of a software company.Taking the specific practices in Requirements Management process area and Requirements Development process area in CMMI as the main line, this paper analyszes specific meaning contained in these specific practices in software development process and its guidance for practice, and combined with practice, put forward my own point of views and methods on the contents of the model which is only outline in CMMI: exploring ideas and methods in the Requirements Management process area such as "Direct Requirement Providers" and "Indirect Requirement Providers" /Partial Integrity of Requirements" and "Overall Integrity of Requirements", "Two-Stage to Obtain Commitment to Requirements ", the ideas and methods of "Extent Assessment" and "In-depth Assessment" on the impact of requirements changes, as well as "Atom Requirement" that is the core concept in obtaining trackable and unique requirements which is closely related to ensuring requirement consistency, analysing meaning and significance of some highly abstract and general concepts and methods in Requirements Development process area through example of software development process, including Derived Requirements, Allocating Product-Component Requirements,Interface Requirements, Operational Concepts and Scenarios and Analyzing Requirements to Achieve Balance.Combined with CMMI ideas, the paper expounds concept, templates and application method about the IBM (Rational) requirement management tool Requisitepro, gives a number of evaluation criteria of usecase writing, puts forward a number of principles for the establishment of requirements track. On this basis, gives an example of requirements development about equipment application subsystem of fixed assets management system.
