At present, Many countries have had relatively systemic research on the theory of ship, and there also has many test means on engineering of which mostly was pond test. But the mean has some problems. First, ocean test must has high ground, which is not so convenience; second, pond test waste a lot of manpower and material resources. To solve these problems, it is necessary to build lab movement platform. It not only can accelerate research and empolder speed, but also can reduce research cost. Base on this , in the paper, we build a five_degrees platform , it can simulate three rotate degrees of the ship and two degrees up the ship well.With the development of Virtual Reality and used for the research of ship platform, it makes us convenience to research the ship's movement in ocoan wave. VR can primely simulate real 3D model and ocean circumstance, and makes the users have real feeling. Nowdays, overseas many countries such as America, Danmark have built navigate simulate labs successively, and successfully used it for sailor training. And our country is also developing this kind of lab and has large progress.This paper uses Virtual Reality technique to study the motion of the ship and up_platform which aggregately have five degrees in different ocean states. First build a math model of the ship to study the ship's different motion states in different ocean states, simplify the existent formula and simulate it with Matlab software; Secondly build a ship and up_platform 3D model and a ocean simulation circumstance by scene simulation software -Creator and Vega, which made by Multigen Corporation. Last, transfer the API function of Vega in VC environment and make the process of simulation about ship motion. The whole system can successfully and real-time simulate the ship motion in different ocean states. It has an active effect for the further research of the ship and up_platform.
