Technology of textile simulation of Textile CAD Software has now been comparatively mature, but when it comes to how to perform a designed textile in the scene, there are still some undeveloped fields. This article focuses on the current situation of this particular issue to show the assistant design to the textile in the simulated scene by introducing the Virtual Reality technology in the Textile CAD system with its rich interactive approaches and apperceive functions to display the highly realistic effect of the textile in the final occasion. It helps designers to examine and improve the techniques. Based on the advantages that simulated Textile CAD system inherited from the traditional CAD skills, it offers the CAD a lifelike, natural and multi-apperceive environment. Meanwhile, it improves the effectiveness and quality of the design.During the study, based on the principles of IBM (Image-Based Method) and MBM (Model-Based Method), this paper combines the knowledge of the Virtual Reality technology, the realistic images generating technology, and the computer graphics to design an approach to the 2D and 3D virtual scenes to have the better effect.Work to be done in this article:1. Simulation system design in 2D virtual environment: to 2D virtual scene, to select the mapping area by the manual points approach; to establish the grid model with the technique of the finite element mesh generation; and to add texture patterns to the mapping area by using texture mapping arithmetic based on vector and MIP-MAP Anti-Aliasing Method; the Shading Method is used to adjust the simulated effect in order to finally have the vivid 2D virtual effect.2. Simulation system design in 3D virtual environment: Exerting the powerful model establishment of 3DS MAX; adopting the VC++2005 developing platform and OpenGL to design the software of the simulation system. The system achieves the simulation function through the four function modules, including 3D scene establishment, model rebuild, and texture mapping, and multi-model scene selection. 1) It first builds a 3D model with 3DS MAX, exporting the 3DS file. 2) Based on the structural characteristics, 3DS file will be read by the program; through the enactment of the max and mix numerical value of the points to show the entire model as well as to build the virtual ball to operate movements like rotating, translation, scale; to achieve the three-dimension with lighting model. Finally, the OpenGL is used based on the above operations to rebuild the model. 3) Moreover, it suggests three allocation plans of texture coordinates to realize a good texture mapping effect. 4) In the case of multi-models scene, the method of selection model is applied to select and operate different models in the scene to finally have the ideal 3D simulated effect.The textile scene simulation system is able to satisfy the different users with their own needs: selecting 2D or 3D platform to observe the effect of the textile in the scene. The usage of this system shortens the period of the textile design and reduces the difficulties and the cost of the textile development. At the same time, this system enables the manufacturers and their customers to have the more convenient and effective communication through the Internet.
