Research On The Integrating Technology Of Hospital Information System And Laboratory Information System

In order to seek the best quality treatment and improve over-all health service to the general public, great efforts have been done to achieve this. Digital Hospital (DH) combined with information technology has been developed through widely-used advanced computer systems and internet technology in medical care.As an important part of modern medical science, laboratory testing is so valuable in the procedure of clinical diagnosis and treatment of a disease. Most of the clinic laboratories in the country are equipped with advanced and automated inspection equipment. The serious contradictions and outdated laboratory management concepts and methods have become increasingly prominent. In order to overcome this kind of contradiction and to hasten the automatic and scientific management of clinic laboratory, a Laboratory Information System (LIS) which is practical, convenient, safe and stable is the key topic in the process of constructing a modern hospital.This study of constructing Digital Hospital domestically is a result of experiences in Digital Hospital both here and abroad. In this proposed study, a general framework of DH, business processes, and standards for medical information and content standards are discussed. On how to solve the digital hospital in the data exchange issue, we presents two solutions: to share databases and HL7 standard technology.Finally, conclusions have been made which provides great potential for the future system integration.
