OBSAI RP3 standard is one of the commonly applied standard for a base-band radio frequency interface, which is not only the important interface standard for connecting base-band units and RF modules, but also crucial for the design and implementation of distributed base station system design and implementation. Thus it is important and urgent to research and develop base-band RF interface based on the OBSAI standard.Based on the requirements of agreement and implementation, this paper analyzes the four–layer structure which consist of the physical layer, transport layer, data link layer and application layer, and gives a detailed description to each of the layers. It further provides the solution with the analysis and design on the key technologies for rate adjustment, fiber time-lapse measurement, PP1S transmission and TDD timing according to the functional requirement of base-band radio frequency interface. Verilog HDL is adopted for the logic design of the agreement for sending, receiving and baseband interface. The functional simulation and test verification of these logic codes show that the OBSAI system meets OBSAI RP3 agreement and the design goals.In a word, this research and development of the WiMAX with a feasible solution for the design and implementation -- base-band radio frequency interface—upon the OBSAI standard are of value for the research, development and application of the related interface standards.
