It is necessary to test sonar's performance by using the target emulator before sonar is installed on the submarine or naval vessel. So in this context the characteristics, including ocean target, ocean ambient noise, vessel-self noise and reverberation, are analyzed, then the modeling are generated for constructing the acoustic circumstance platform.First the global status of underwater acoustic modeling analysis is introduced, especially including the characteristic of ocean object, ocean ambient noise, self noise and reverberation.And the highlight model concerning the high frequency approximate modeling of ocean object is described. According to the physical foundation of approximation, the compute equation about echo highlight parameters is proposed using physical acoustic method and stable phase method. The highlight parameters impacted by the different angle of incidence is discussed. The simulation of echo based on highlight model is presented.And as to the simulation of noise including ambient and self noise, the current feasible modeling methods are compared. The simplified method of simulation is provided and the simulation is presented.And then as to the reverberation modeling of active sonar, the reverberation channel is taken as "network system function". At the same time the traits are analyzed and verified by simulation, including the statistic, frequency domain and correlation.At last the realization frame chart of software design about object simulation is presented, based on DSP. According to this the key points are described, including the float-point operation and evolution operation of highlight echo module, and the method to produce gauss noise which is necessary for noise and reverberation, then the part realization of noise and subsection convolution realization of reverberation. What worth mention is that the cycle period and memory needed for the realization of DSP software are calculated.
