Owing to the influence of factors, such as broadcasting environments, timbre, power cost and so on, The AM broadcasting is changing from the traditional analog signals to the digital signals. DRM has become a principal mean of transition and an important direction of replacement from analogue to digital broadcasting.Relied on the international standard of the DRM digital broadcasting system, this thesis design and implements a DRM Receiver by comparing and analyzing each module features of the DRM system. Firstly, it divides the DRM Receiver into two parts according to the signal processing: one is the hardware part for receiving signal (Analog signal processing) and the other one is the software part for processing signal (Digital signal processing). Secondly, it discuss the two parts separately, especially the functional modules of the software part are analyzed. The DRM system takes COFDM (Code Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex) technique as the foundation; it has high-frequency band utilization and anti-multi-path interference, and other advantages. Regarding the process of receiving and processing Digital signal as a main line, the realization of software part receiver fully used the computing power of PC. In this paper, we discussed the main function modules, such as signal receiving, channel demodulator, channel decoder, source decoder and so on, which involving DRM signal synchronization, OFDM demodulation, Viterbi Decoder, source decoder arithmetic, and other issues. At last, we tested the receiving result of the DRM receiver, analyzed the performance of the key algorithm. On this basis, we find the insufficiency of the work, and then prospect the further task.
