The simulation of infrared scene by computer's modeling capability is one of the important researches in the field of infrared (IR) simulation technique. The dynamic IR scene generation technique can reduce the cost of developing a new weapon system. It is not only the key to increase the ratio of value to cost, but also a quick, economy and effective means in appreciating the performance of IR imaging guidance missiles. All of these lead to its great theoretical significance and wide application perspective.This thesis discuss is focus on how to use computer to generate dynamic IR images. A simulation of an IR imaging guidance missile tracking a warship is represented. The 3D geometry warship model is built according to its actual size use 3DS MAX; the 3D grometry ocean wave model is built according to the spectrum and spatial domain of real ocean wave; the motion model is also built according to the motion rules of the warship and the missile. the factors which affect the infrared radiation are analyzed and built the infrared models of warship and ocean water; atmosphere attenuation model is built according to Lowtran 7 atmosphere model; a method of the IR scene simulation based on OpenGL and MFC is described, which includes the creating of dynamic IR image.In this thesis, infrared image processing is discussed. Include adding noise, image smoothing. The IR scene images are true to nature by these processing. The rate of producing IR images and the needs of IR imaging guidance with high speed and real-time is greatly increased by using the extention of OpenGL.At last, how to achive the simulation of IR Image Guidance is discussed. HLA is used to connect other nodes. All of the nodes work cooperatively to achive dynamic infrared scene simulation.
