Workshop logistics of assembly plant is a critical part in production management and fundament of production informatization. Workshop logistics information system provides real-time information about the product planning, product tracing and resource allocation in the environment of MES. At the same time, workshop logistics information system can help enterprise to reduce product lifecycle, increase equipment efficiency, improve product quality, and cut production cost.Under the background of Electrical equipment and based on actuality of assembly workshop logistics, this paper does holistic researches on the modeling and application of assembly plant logistics information system.First of all, current situation of assembly plant and the problem are analyzed, and then, design objective of workshop logistics information system was proposed.Secondly, this paper applies the object-oriented modeling method based on UML to analysis workshop logistics information system, including applying the Use Case Diagram and the Sequence Diagram to analyze the main functions of logistics,applying the Activity Diagram to describe the activities in this process and applying the Class Diagram to establish the static model of the system.Moreover, on the basis of modeling on the logistics information system , function of workshop logistics information system has been designed , and the application of key technologies have been researched.At last, the most part of research conclusion on workshop logistics information system has been used in the whole set electrolic equipment industry in Chongqing. Based on the MES environment, a prototype of workshop logistics information system has been developed.
