As the level of semiconductor techniques get enhanced, the design of integrated circuit is becoming much harder. Similarly, the verification of integrated circuit is faced with larger challenges: 1) improving verification methodology, 2) increasing verification platform's reusability, 3) increasing verification's efficiency. This thesis mainly focuses on the research of verification methodology and how to build a reusable and automatic verification platform.Firstly, the thesis introduces integrated circuits'front-end verification and some universal methods. A verification platform is all the codes written to check design's function. Traditional verification platform has limitation of low level and low reusability because it verifies design directly at pin level. Thus, the thesis researches at reusability and automation of verification platform and points out the key elements to achieve the purpose. With the base of transaction-based verification, the thesis puts forward a reusable and automatic verification platform. The platform uses SystemC to model all the modules of platform at transaction level and build transaction verification model to transform data from transaction level to pin level. With such structure, it is reusable in similar project. Furthermore, the platform uses a C shell script to control the simulation, extends TCL command to generate stimulus data, configuration data and control data and uses a Perl script to update the verification report automatically. Finally, the thesis introduces the verification statistics in realistic project and analyses the result. The verification platform is designed and applied to verify digital integrated circuits successfully. The result of this case proves this platform's feasibility, affectivity, reusability and automation.
