Design And Implementation Of Event Management System In RFID Middleware

With the rapid development and wide application of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), more attention is paid to the field of RFID middleware. RFID middleware plays a role as an intermediary between RFID reader and application system. Application program can use API which is provided by RFID middleware to connect RFID reader and read EPC information. RFID middleware implements the collection of data and connection between RFID devices and enterprise application system. Therefore RFID middleware makes the RFID applications more and more agility and will be of great practical value obviously.Event management is the core function in the RFID middleware system. And it is used to collect and filter data, and then transfer the effective information to the applications. And it filters information according to user'requirement and solves security problems in the data collections. At present, some research of event management in RFID middleware is ongoing, but for RFID event management has no uniform standard, the thesis proposes architecture of RFID event management according to the characteristics of RFID events and application environment. Event management needs classification of RFID events, and uses different levels of processing to different type event. And then RFID events successful convert to effective application information.The thesis mainly discusses design and implement of event management which is the core function in a RFID middleware system. Firstly, the thesis proposes the requirement of event management in accordance with RFID middleware system used in EPC network. Then analyzes and discusses event management design method. And then introduces the implementation of event management, gives a comprehensive introduction to RFID events coding, mode filtering, objectives incident identification and definition of operational rules, focuses on the definition of business rules and implementation of methods to the engines; Finally introduces RFID middleware applications in real environment.
