This paper demonstrates the operation principle, design idea,and realization method of a C Band Super High-speed Agility Frequency Synthesizer. By employing DTO+PLL+DS the method not only has reduced the cost but also realized wide band,high speed,and dense hopping steps. The method emphasizes the design of wide-band VCO, which requires high stability,wide band as well as very wide modulation bandwidth. In practice the method has gained one or two mete increase in temperature stability by selecting the tuning varactor, which has the temperature characteristic compensated for the resonant transistor. The increase of temperature stability also benefits from the method of power supply and dividers.Too wide a modulation bandwidth has an effect on the output frequency of the VCO, this paper introduces the method of multi-stage to resolve the effect, and so realize high speed hopping. The synthesizer control the VCO with high speed DA, which helps the user realize hopping by using digital control and realize high speed, wideband hopping by using switches to select frequency and mixers to gain new frequency. With advantages of high stability, fast hopping, dense steps, the synthesizer has wide applications in high-speed sense and counterwork of electronics.
