Since electronic diesel system performs high accuracy as well as rapid respondand is suitable to various algorithms, and has obvious effect on improving of derivability and emissions for diesel engine, electronic control technique has been the main trendy in diesel engine field. Control parameters must be controlled and calibrated by the control and calibration system during the applied development of engine electronic control system in order to have good performance of engine and to guarantee the requirements of emission regulations as well as stable performance.For the mufti-function demand, high-tech, extendable ability are required strictly. Domestic control systems hardly meet the need while overseas' are characterized by advancement but expensive. Virtual instrument technology is the fashion in the area of control, test and automation based on computer. Now, this technology has been widely applied in IC engine control and test. So in this paper, a diesel engine control system test bed based on virtual instrument technology is developed.Main work includes system structure design, data acquirement (DAQ) system design, and control& test system software development. In order to improve the speed, stability, data-processing ability of ECU, the DSP is adopted to meet the function requirements. By substituting multi-task mechanism for traditional single- task mechanism, a more real-time, stable and flexible.Under the LabVIEW 7. 0 circumstance, which is an excellent graph design tool of NI Company, USA, the controll and calibration platform software for communication between person and system is development. It can achieve real-time control,display and storage. The data transmitting between computer and ECU is according to RS232 serial communication standard. The user-interface is clear, simple and easily manipulative. The use of the control and calibration platform software cuts down the calibration work by a long way.The system is of great advantage in derivability, stability, fuel consumption and emission controlling.
