The society has entered into the information era in the twenty-first century while the whole world began the aged times. Most articles are designed for 18 to 60-year-old people, the seniors feel hard to find electronic products. Television is a kind of electronic products. Watching TV is the quite common leisure way for old people. But the present telecontroller is so complex that the old people have difficult to operate. Through investigating, analyzing and researching, the paper summarized the usable design on telecontroller for the seniors. I hope universal design on television can improves senior citizen's leisure life, and improves senior citizen's quality of life.The paper firstly elaborates universal design and senior citizen's basic characteristic, senior citizen's physiological characteristic and psychological characteristic, knows the social old age tendency, and analyzes social characteristic and economical condition of the senior citizen.
