Study On Maintain Workstation Of VTS Which Is Altered By Vessel Radar System

With the advancement of times,the level of technology of Vessel Traffic Service(VTS) System is greatly improved,and the economic and social benefits of VTS are increasingly recognized.However,the performance can not bring into full play,the restrict of installation condition,the technical constraints,the high price,and the high maintenance costs in the later period,all of those conditions limit the widespread use of VTS system in some particular waters.This thesis considers all these constraints,point out that change vessel radar into vts radar,alter vessel radar system to vts system.This thesis put the maintain station of vts system which is altered by vessel radar system as the emphases.Setting up maintain station is propitious to the increasing of the system stability,benefits system management.It helps the technician to solve problem quickly and exactly,it also helps to save time and money.System has three function block:The local monitor unit,The remote control center and the transfer channel.This thesis designed a local display and control system - the local maintain station, which is based on the general computer.The system completes the signal's extracting, radar state's collecting,composite information's displaying and sends the control command.The station picks up radar vedio signal through PCI in DMA,picks up radar state information through serial ports in RS-232,it also sends control command to excute unit in RS-232.A friendly man-machine interface based on windows empoldered by Visual C++ is designed lastly.Through the man-machine interface, technician can get the radar workstation at any time,reset the parameter of radar and intervene radar action.System also store the radar data to hard disk for future reference, through which administror can check the record of radar.All of this operation is easy to do,system is flexible and maintenace.The remote control is completed by NetMeeting, which is attached to windows.Though NetMeeting,two computer can share desktop, can transfer files and remote demonstrate.It complets remote control through the Local Area Network or Wide Area Network.This design product has three basic functions: display,.control and record,has a practical value.
