As the market demand for wireless data services growing, operators have to develop their own field to develop their data services of their own field to seek upper hand in the fierce competition. The traditional GSM networks can only support 9.6 kb/s data transmission rate, which is far from metting the user,s demand for high-speed wireless data services. GPRS is a standardized packet-switched data service which built on the traditional GSM network. It can provide up to 115 kb/s rate packet data services. So it can enable the transmission of multi-media which includes pictures, voice and video over wireless networks become a reality.Base on the research and analysis of GPRS communication and implementation. I design a wireless data acquisition system which based on the microcontroller. The systems have funtions of data collection, sensor monitoring, collecting data storage, wireless data and web publishing. The system consists of MSP430 low-power data acquisition module, wireless data transmission modules, PC data acquisition module and websites.I use the modular design to make the system a clear structure, a high reliablity and easy to debug in the process of the system design. The passage also completes the upper and lower bit machine software design. And I use structured design ideas to make the program portability good, code optimization and the reasonsable operating more efficiency. The design system is fully funtional. Not only dose it fully have the funtion of data collection and wireless transmission and display, but also it can enable the host in the LAN to access the database at the same time. And it can display by the page. The system is simple, reliable, friendly manmanchine interface and high automation. The experimental test shows that the system has a high pression data acquistion, a accurate data transmission and a well synchronized data acquisition to achieve the functions of GPRS.
