As from education testing standardized, objective tests can be fully marked by computer. It's fully resolved the problems of inaccuracy by manual marking. But Subjective tests are still marked manually because of the uncertainty of subjective tests, such as writing. It's very easy to cause inaccuracy in marking papers since different teachers have different understandings on the measurement of model answer.Ministry of Education and Liaoning province have been attempting and researching on online marking exam papers in recent years. By combining the well experienced manual marking and modern technology, they are intended to control and decrease the inaccuracy in subjective tests through online marking, which can ensure a more accurate and fair marking work.In this article, through summarizing and analyzing the present situation of exam papers marking management of Liaoning education testing, and drawing lessons from other provinces' experience and the advantage of related software, we introduced computer technology (including Hi-speed scanning, database and internet) to the process of papers marking on the condition of subjective written testing. We designed a more reasonable and scientific online marking module, and developed a set of more advanced and functional online marking software. Thereby inaccuracy can be decreased; marking work can be more rational and scientific. Subjective inaccuracy can be reduced to maximum; And costs of marking can be reduced, either. Justness and Fairness also can be guaranteed.Through computer monitoring, marking process can be known at any time, and can be revised on time. Meanwhile teacher's ability and speed on marking can be followed in real time. Teacher's enthusiasm and sense of responsibility mobilized, and the quality of marking work can be improved. Addition, online marking can streamline the marking process in traditional manual marking such as, papers-draw/return, papers stock management, teachers' signature, registration, scoring, gathering, losing marking, losing registration and so forth. Marking efficiency and quality are fully improved. Moreover, this information-based management can provide firsthand information on education survey, evaluation and etc.
