The traditional laser marking machine which was controlled by PC, exposed the inadequacies of big volume, high cost, and poor adaptation to the environment. To overcome these shortcomings, we build a laser marking control system based on embedded technology. The purpose is to build a miniature laser marking control system with the advantage of high integration, low power consumption and low cost of embedded system. This paper focuses on the establishment of embedded system software platform and vector marking problems, the main work are as follows:(1)Based on a brief introduction to the basic theory of laser marking with galvanometer scanning system, we shemed out a laser marking control system which core is embedded computer, then we analyzed the the performance of the system. We built a software platform as core of embedded Linux on the hardware platform with the processor as S3C2410, the main work includes transplanting embedded Linux and Bootloader, making root file system and establishing GUI platform.(2)According to marking process and function of the special control card with FPGA, we wrote device drivers for system, and solved the issues of difficulty to request a large memory buffer in Linux driver. Besides, the transmission with DMA and Memory mapping are used to improve the performance of the system.(3)We studied the program of vector marking and marking-on-the-fling, Furthermore, analyzed and corrected error appearing in the process of vector marking.Through the way to solve these problems above, we completed the design of miniature laser marking control system successfully, and made good performance in practical application.
