Research On Grid Workflow Meta-Model Based On XML Description

With the development of the workflow technology, it has been widely applied to various fields. The business logic of workflow is expressed and calculated with the appropriate model in computer. And the automation of the workflow is realized. With the techniques of the workflow, the work efficiency is greatly advanced and this technology has become an essential element of business development.However, the development of the workflow technology confronts a lot of problems currently, such as the domain acrossing data transfer issues and the problems of calling the computing tools and resources in distributed heterogeneous platform are particularly prominent. And the application of grid technology can precisely solve the deficiencies of the workflow technology in these areas. In order to solve this problem, the workflow meta-model is amended, the problem in the workflow technology is compensated by the grid technology in this thesis.At first, it introduces the relevant background knowledge of the workflow, grid and grid workflow respectively, and introduces the standards of the WMFC definition about the workflow process in this thesis, and then it analyses the difference between the traditional workflow and grid workflow meta-model. Through the analysis and research of the workflow meta-model based on the existing Web Service technology, adding the grid network elements into the traditional workflow model. Meanwhile, the amended workflow model is presented with a specific example described.
