The Study On Enterprise Mobile Application Based On J2ME And Web Services

The application of wireless Java technology extends the space requirement of enterprise application users. Nowadays, the mobile application is focused on the level of consumers, another aspect of mobile application—enterprise application is not so popular.J2ME is one of the three major platforms of Java, it is targeted to resource-constrained devices such as mobile phones and PDA.At this period, the mobile phones are becoming more and more prevalent, which brings the trend of accessing various services on the Internet from mobile devices. The high flexibility and reliability of wireless Java or J2ME technology make it the main developing platform of mobile devices. Web services technology is becoming a very important part in Internet field. One of the important values of Web service technology is to make the enterprise-level integration of applications faster, more easily and meanwhile have more expansibility. And to extend the services provided by Web Services technology to the mobile devices is the direction of future enterprise application development.Based on the J2ME and Web services technology, an enterprise mobile application called mobile sales assistant was designed and developed. It provides customer and product information to the salesmen. It also allows the user to add or update customer information from mobile to enterprise information system. The practical value of mobileSA system validates the feasibility of constructing an enterprise mobile application using J2ME and Web Services technologies.
